He Only Had to Say Her Name | Part 2
I was late for my training. But as I walked into the training room, I made a quick sweep of my co-trainees. I was checking out the cuties. There was one who’s my type: an artsy-fartsy looking gorgeous boy. The one who looks like he’s into filmmaking.
“Hi, I’m Mark. I’m an undergraduate of B.A. Film Production.”
Jackpot.
A few other people introduced themselves. No one else was crush material. But wait…
“I’m James. My motto in life is work hard, party harder.”
Oh hey, where’s that guy? Oh. Him. The one in the corner of the room, wearing a light blue polo and a cap. Cute. But not for me. He’s too…Chinese.
The training breezed by for two weeks (well, my training did, the others’ will still stretch into three more weeks). And during that span of time, I lost interest in Mark. He’s young, as in 19 years old young.
And he’s sort of…effeme? James, on the other hand, has started to become more interesting. He’s kinda cute when he smiles. And he’s been giving me more and more of “the look”. You know, the one that says, “Hey, I think you’re interesting.”
And then one day, just out of the blue, he blurted out to our camera-toting co-trainee, “Ei May. Picture-an mo kaming dalawa.” And he put his arms around me. And that made my heart do triple cartwheels and a thousand jumping jacks. That’s when I started to be more into James than into Mark.
A week later, the fun morning rides started…
